”HÖLLSCHLUCHT”

(About 5 minutes by foot) possible with children. Good footwear is indispensable. In this enchanted, almost untouched forest area with entrance located right next to the Hotel Landmann, there is the rushing stream, and everything looks as wild as in a mini jungle. In summer breathtakingly beautiful, quiet and relaxing.

”VOGELPARK STEINEN”

(About 10 minutes by car) with bird of prey show, grill area and other nice attractions for the whole family.

”SCHNEIDERHOF” FARMHOUSE MUSEUM

(About 5 minutes by foot) The “Schneiderhof” in Kirchhausen is 300 years old. The traditional farmhouse is now a museum. What looks so quaint is actually due to a terrible event: the family of the last occupant, Berta Schneider, lost all their savings intended for the expansion of the farm during the great inflation of 1923. Because the money was never available again for a reconstruction, it remained in its original state.

COLMAR

(About 40 minutes by car) Stroll through the narrow streets of the medieval town center. Afterwards a walk through "Little Venice". Or even better, explore the city on a boat trip on the river Lauch. And a must for culture lovers is the famous “Isenheim Altar”.

BASEL CITY / BASEL COUNTRY

(About 40 minutes by car) Discover the nature, culture and tradition of the Swiss during a trip to the cantons of Basel- Stadt and Basel-Land. In Basel, the "pocket-sized metropolis", you will find sunny banks of the Rhine, a picturesque old town and nearly forty museums. The “Fondation Beyeler” in Riehen is the most visited art museum in Switzerland.

“STEINWASENPARK” AMUSEMENT PARK

(About 60 minutes by car) with mountain game park, rides, riversplash, summer toboggan run, longest suspension rope bridge, interactive museum, and much more...

”HASENHORN”

(About 60 minutes by car) with largest coaster run (modern summer toboggan run), magic trail, Hasenhorn tower, chairlift and MTB downhill fun park.

TODTNAU WATERFALL

(About 50 minutes by car) with beautiful panoramic trails with views to Vosges, Alps, Feldberg, Freiburg, etc. There you can expect the Schauinsland tower, the farm museum "Schniederlihof" and the mining museum Schauinsland.

”SCHAUINSLAND”

(About 50 minutes by car) with beautiful panoramic trails with views to Vosges, Alps, Feldberg, Freiburg, etc. There you can expect the Schauinsland tower, the farm museum "Schniederlihof" and the mining museum Schauinsland.

BELCHENBAHN

(About 40 minutes by car) with beautiful panoramic trails, “Höhenalp Knöpflesbrunnen” and other alpine inns.

FELDBERG

(About 50 minutes by car) with the interactive museum "House of Nature" from the Southern Black Forest Nature Park with adventure annual program from the Feldberg ranger and other nature guides. Wonderful hikes to the peaks and to the picturesque Feldsee, etc.

MOUNTAIN WORKS

You like the darkness? Are you interested in the history underground? Then the Southern Black Forest is the right place for you. Visit the “Schauinsland Museum” mine or the “Finstergrundmine” in Wieden.

STAUFEN

(About 45 minutes by car) Visit the castle ruins of Staufen or the “Doll Museum” here, which moved from Freiburg to Staufen in 2010. Or just stroll through the historic town center, which is under monument protection.
