General FAQs
At what times are breakfast and dinner served?
In our breakfast room you can enjoy our breakfast daily from 8 a.m to 10 a.m.
For guests who miss the regular buffet times, we offer an Early Bird breakfast. Please inform the reception if you would like this service.
Our restaurant opens for you at 3 p.m. Let us spoil you with culinary delights from 6 a.m. to 9 pm.
We are well prepared for: Lactose intolerance, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan diets and also all other allergies. If possible, inform us of any special requests before your arrival and enjoy to the fullest.
We also offer "classic" children's dishes for our younger guests.
From what time can I check in? When do I have to check out?
You can check in from 3 p.m.
An early check-in is also bookable depending on availability. However, this is only possible if your room is already free the night before. For this we charge 25 EUR per room depending on availability.
You are also welcome to start the day of your arrival (on request at the earliest on the evening before your arrival) with a rich gourmet breakfast with us. For this, an additional 25 EUR per person will be charged.
Check-out is until 11 a.m.
However, if you would like to spend the day in Kirchhausen or the surrounding area, we offer you the following options:
Late check-out until 5 p.m. for 25 EUR per room.
If you do not wish to have a late check-out, we can store your luggage in the locked cellar room for you free of charge. However, please understand that a shower or the use of your room is no longer possible.
Can I arrive after 5 p.m.?
No problem! Please let us know if you arrive later. In any case, our restaurant staff will be at your disposal until approximately 10 p.m.
Please understand that arrivals after 10 p.m. are not possible.
Is there internet access?
Our high-speed WiFi is available to you free of charge on the entire premises.
Where can I park?
We have enough parking spaces in front of the hotel, but no underground parking. Please park in the marked parking spaces directly in front of the hotel entrance. Parking spaces next to the hotel building are reserved for our employees.
Is the hotel barrier-free and does it have an elevator to get to the upper floors?
As our house was built in 1985, it is unfortunately not possible to provide an elevator for structural reasons. Therefore, all our hotel rooms are accessible only by stairs. If you have problems with climbing stairs, please contact us before your arrival with the request for a room on the 1st floor. We will be happy to assist you with your luggage on site.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets & dogs are not allowed out of general consideration. Also not in the public areas such as lobby, bar, breakfast room, restaurant and garden.
Since we unfortunately had to make bad experiences with dogs again and again, we ask for your understanding.
Are children welcome in the hotel?
Of course!
We have a small playroom and a large playground in our garden area. We do not have childcare, but the playroom and our terrace are designed in such a way that you will always have your kids well in sight.
You are welcome to use the tables for cozy board and card games even when the Bar & Restaurant is closed. You may order coffee specialties or cool drinks for this purpose at any time at our reception.
Can I smoke in the hotel?
All our rooms & suites are non-smoking areas, but most of them have balcony or terrace. Our Bar & Restaurant are also non-smoking areas. But also here there are enough outdoor areas where smoking is allowed.
Can I cancel my stay?
Cancellations at short notice result in a financial loss for us, as we have reserved the booked room/suite for you and have turned away other interested guests. We therefore have the right to issue a cancellation invoice and receive compensation for the lost revenue.
Cancellation free of charge is possible up to 7 days before arrival for individual bookings. If canceled up to 5 days before arrival, we charge 80% of the total amount. If canceled later, the hotel reserves the right to charge 100% of the total amount.
Please note that for bookings of more than 3 rooms, different reservation and cancellation conditions apply.
Tip without cash - how does it work if I was satisfied with my stay?
Tipping has a long tradition, especially in Germany, and is seen as a way of showing financial appreciation and saying thank you for special service. However, the increase in cashless payments means that tipping is becoming more and more complicated. In addition, we have changed the concept at our Hotel Landmann and included more services. This means that there is even less opportunity to tip when making a payment.
After increased requests from our guests for ways to give tips in an uncomplicated way, we have created the voluntary tip flat rate.
With this we allow ourselves to add 10 euros per night/room as a voluntary tip to your bill, provided you were satisfied with the service. You have the option to cancel, reduce or even increase this amount at any time. Of course, you can still tip individually and put it in our cash box at the reception.
We will inform you again in detail about our voluntary tip flat rate at check-in or check-out and will gladly accept your wishes here as well.
This model is not only a service for our guests, but also puts a smile on the faces of our employees. And we would like to thank you very much for that!
How do I book the wellness area?
Our wellness area can be booked directly at the time of booking. Alternatively, you have the option of adding it later for €16 per person per day
Can I charge my electric car at your hotel?
Unfortunately, we do not have a charging station for your electric car. In Eimeldingen you will find a Tesla Supercharger, as well as a fast charging station in Lörrach at the Hotel Stadt Lörrach.
Summer FAQs
Is there a bike/shoe room?
Yes. We have a suitable room for your bike, e-bike and also cycling shoes.
Do you have a bike rental?
Unfortunately, we do not currently have any e-bikes on site, but you are welcome to bring your own bikes and store them with us.
Can I wash my bike?
Yes. Water and hose are free of charge, of course.
Are there signposted hiking trails?
There are many beautiful hiking trails available directly from our hotel. However, we recommend using a map or a hiking app, as the trails are not consistently signposted everywhere. We are happy to provide you with a hiking map including routes starting right from our hotel. Alternatively, we recommend the apps Komoot or Outdooractive for planning and navigation.
Winter FAQs
What is the distance to the nearest ski resort?
The nearest ski resort is the “Belchenbahn Talstation”. You can reach it in about 50 minutes by car. The Feldberg, which is also a popular ski resort among winter sports enthusiasts, can be reached in about 1 hour by car. Enjoy the advantage of a cheaper overnight stay outside the winter sports resort and the peace and quiet around the Hotel Landmann.
Is there a ski/boot room?
Yes. We have a suitable room so you can dry your skis and boots for the next trip to the ski resort if you wish.
What can you experience in winter?
In winter, we offer a variety of relaxing and enjoyable experiences. You can unwind in our brand-new Finnish sauna at 80°C, relax in the cozy lounge with a fireplace, or enjoy our quiet relaxation rooms. On request, you can also book a soothing massage or join a yoga session with a view of the snowy landscape. For those who prefer to be active, a short snow walk around the hotel offers a wonderful way to enjoy the winter scenery.
